Prayer Lesson #2 The Battle
by ejgraceman on Mar.27, 2008, under Prayer Lessons
In lesson #1 on prayer we learned to get our focus on the God we love and serve. We get into stress and distress when we focus on ourselves and our situations. When David was about to slay Goliath he did not compare Goliath with his strengths he compared Goliath with the Greatness of David’s God. When we view our problems etc. we need to compare them to our Miracle working and mighty God. They will then seem small.
We begin with Blessing God ( refer to lesson #1 )
Now we get into the Battle. We learn in Eph. 6:10-12 to be strong in the Lord and in the power of His might. We also learn that our battle is not with flesh and blood but in the invisible spirit realm. We are in conflict daily with Satan and evil spirits seeking to mess
up our lives and rob us of the JOY of the Lord which is our strength…. Neh. 8
In Matthew 16: 18-20 We begin with the declaration that the gates ( authorities ) of hell
will not prevail against the people of God. I was reading Daniel 10-12 tonight and you will see a prime example of last days spiritual warfare revealed to us. Daniel receives revelations regarding the Last Days. For the past year or so I have experienced deep emotions like mournings and groanings regarding the spiritual conditions of our day . I believe the Spirit warns His remnant how really close we are to the coming of the Lord.
In Joel we are taught of the last days times and the call to return to the Person of the Lord, Penitent hearts and Passionate Prayer. We have been so focused on this crumbling material world that we have forgotten the Powerful spiritual world around us. We are reminded that the evil spirits will intensify but the Lord will in the Last Days pour out His Spirit and we will dream dreams and have visions. I cannot tell you how many nights in the last few months I have been awakened by the Holy Spirit and called to intercessory prayer. We cannot face these days when men’s hearts will fail them for fear without being prepared spiritually.
Our next prayer point is found in Matthew 16:19-20 ” whatever is bound on earth is bound in heaven and whatever is loosed on earth will be loosed in heaven. ”
After ( lesson #1 Blessing the Lord ) I pray that the LORD himself will bind Satan ( the strong man ) and bind the demonic spirits that are attacking our minds, souls, bodies, families, marriages, governments ( See Daniel 10 )
When Daniel had visions of the Last days he lost strength and felt crushed within. He would pray and God would send angels and strengthen him . Angels will come in answer to our prayers ( they minister, bring messages and are majestic and mighty in battle ) In Acts 12 the church prayed for Peter in prison and God sent an angel to deliver Peter…. Haven’t we all felt a lot of these emotions lately? If you love the Lord you will sense these things. I feel that most believers have anesthetized minds and hearts and spirits. Perhaps pray and fast for a while till you become spiritually sensitive again. Satan would have us to be desensitized and preoccupies our minds with entertaining ourselves into spiritual stupidity.
So step # 2 in Prayer….Do Battle in the spiritual realm. Ask the Lord to Bind Satan and the Demonic spirits that deceive, delude, divide and destroy….. God will answer our prayers…..
Bless the Lord in Prayer/ Bind the Enemy and evil spirits through prayer ( Matt. 16:19 )
Then , Bless the Lord for the Victory and Praise Him in advance ( NO MATTER HOW YOU FEEL….WE WALK BY FAITH AND NOT BY SIGHT )
In II Chronicles 21, Jehoshaphat was surrounded by the enemy. He Prayed and God sent His Word ( The Battle Belongs to the Lord…..My old favorite Worship song and first song I ever learned on the guitar……We sing Glory, Honour, Power and Strength to the Lord. ) The people Praised the Lord and God sent Angels and Almighty God brought the Victory. Let’s stop getting beat up by the enemy and Fight Valiantly and Passionately till The Captain of our Salvation ( Jesus / See Joshua 5 b ) returns…..I want to be a Great Worshipping Warrior and want the same for you and yours cause I love ya….
I hope these lessons help and bless your life….

Prayer Lesson #1 Bless the Lord
by ejgraceman on Mar.26, 2008, under Prayer Lessons
I want to write blogs for those of you interested in a Real Relationship with God. I do not have the market cornered on the subject. It is simply what interests me and has held my life together and hopefully will bless yours. I have an entire pattern that I go through in prayer and I hope it will help you. Many have prayed the pattern of the Prayer of Jabez. I use this as a part of my daily prayers ( Found in 1 Chronicles ch. 4 )
Bless me…….Enlarge by borders/boundaries…….Place your hand upon me……Keep me from evil…….
I use this but have learned the best way to begin prayer is by Blessing Him…for all of his
“God-ness, Goodness and incredible Grace…..
I also began a habit of taking notebooks and daily making a page of things that I am thankful for and praise the Lord for. This develops a heart of gratitude as you stop and reflect at the daily blessings of God. It may begin with Praise for a good night’s sleep, a good cup of coffee, a roof over your head. Often we think that we have it so bad. If we think of the pain and poverty that most of the world lives in you will realize we live like kings. Let’s always be thankful and praise the Lord for everything that he is, does and provides for us. In the good economic times you might have thanked him for a nice Prime Rib…Now you may thank Him for Rice and Beans…..
So for step one in your prayer life….get a notebook and write all the things you are thankful for and praise God for and then BLESS the Lord for those things. Pray for those without the things that you and I take for granted. We may be in for some really difficult times as the word “recession” looms over the hearts and minds of Americans. If we will focus on the Spiritual Blessings ( as Paul did in Ephesians Ch. 1….He Blessed the Lord for all of the Spiritual Blessings ) Paul learned to walk in Joy even though at the writing of Ephesians 1 he found himself in prison…..
I do not know your present circumstances but you can walk in JOY if you focus on Blessing and Praising God….Trust me you will feel better….Psalm 37 says Delight in the Lord and he will give you the desires of your heart. Guess what ? When you begin spending your life pursuing the manifest presence of God all the material stuff ends up looking like a bunch of useless junk. Have you ever walked through a W….Mart and said
” How much of this junk is really unnecessary to real life and joy…..almost everything. ”
Now leave this site…get your notebook and begin Blessing God for everything…..Joy will fill your heart.
Till the next “blog”
