Graceman’s Musings

This week has been one of great turmoil from Wall Street to Your Street. One man in Cal. killed his entire family over his financial losses and frustrations regarding finances. He did not realize that money and things can be lost and then regained but he killed the ones who were his most precious “possessions” those that loved him. Job in the scripture lost all of his earthly substance during a severe time in his life but still maintained his FAITH in the one who would never let him go. I have been through a time of severe financial crisis, loss and pain and have weathered the storm. I am older and hopefully wiser. I have learned three things 1. Possessions are meaningless 2. Family and loved ones are priceless and 3. God’s love and care is endless…… A favorite passage regarding God is Romans 8:15….” We have not received the spirit of bondage again too fear but we have received the Spirit of Adoption whereby we cry ” Abba Father ” Abba, he is our dad…. more than one that sires a child but

one that loves deeply. I love my four daughters more than life itself. It is painful for me to see many parents pursue their businesses, the acquisition of possessions, position, prestige and power while never stopping to express their love to their children. This time of Global economic crisis will test your faith and expose your true value system. You may lose it all

( I mean materially ) Is that what you think life is all about….Man, do you need an education in life. I am not being cocky. I had to come through some near ( I mean really near ) death experiences like the loss of my dear brother Jonathan to shake my soul to the core. I want to live my life with no regrets and to live each day as if it were my last. Today the family went to a ” Pumpkin Patch ” several years ago I would have declined going. Now I have come to live my life for the joy of others. I wrote all of you a poem regarding the role of God as our Father, dad, Greek: Abba Father from Romans 8:15…Trust me, God, Abba Father is no ” Deadbeat Dad ” Here is my poem/song for you….

God has not given us the Spirit of fear

He wants us to pursue Him

Like the lovely deer

His presence will protect us

In danger or in fear

Just call upon our Abba (daddy)

He is always near ( He’ll be right there )

You see my precious child

He loves you so

He Adopted you

He cares for you

He’ll never let you go

Don’t give up, cave in

He will be right there

He’s a wonderful God

Who really cares

The next time you’re in trouble

Or in a lot of Pain

Cry out to Abba Father

In Jesus Name

He will help you

And he’ll hold you

And wipe away your tears

In his presence

He’ll remove every fear…

Baltimore Update – Had a great weekend of meetings at dad’s church Grace in Baltimore. Saw lots of family, friends and loved ones that have been faithful through the years and got to see my daughter/”My brown eyed girl”…saw sisters and family and the Boyz ( sisters boys )

lots of love and laughter. Good services : Met sweet new friends as well. Taught : Jabez Prayer, Message Comfort in Crisis Times and taught “Lord’s Prayer”. A man named Joe came to Christ and that made it worth the trip…..Heaven rejoices. In the evening precious lady brought someone from Cameroon/made a connection.

Cameroon Update – Have my passport, visa stuff is in process, will get my shots next week,

 ( pray for no side effects ) still have some funds needed but am confident if God guides…he will provide. Parents had good meetings in Memphis and we pick them up tonight.

 Late update in Baltimore : 

Had some good carribean food with daughter and nephews….twas good mon…..Ox tail/brown stew chicken…..the food that will be served in heaven…ya mon….Got parents from airport…Went out with parents and sisters/b-law to Outback ( quite an international day ) …went out with daughter for tea and had good bonding time…came home and watched Ravens game with Jeff…..Blogged and ready to say my prayers for you and yours…..Miss Annita and me little one…..and KJ and family…back home tomorrow

What really matters

My wife and daughter were putting together photos of our family today for some picture frames. I had CNN on TV and there was Chaos and despair in Washington. Everyone’s nervous about the possible collapse of

the financial world. Several thoughts running through my head and to comfort your hearts……

1. No matter what I still have Jesus and more importantly he has me .

2. Though material loss is painful…life is more than that ( Jesus said so in Matt.5-7 ) and even wise Solomon said that all his stuff  was vanity and brought him vexation of spirit…being poor is really not that bad after all. I mean if you have food, clothing, shelter ( to quote my favorite T-shirts ” LIFE IS GOOD” and GOD IS GOOD….By the way GOD IS OUR SOURCE AND RESOURCE…..Not Wall Street…..

3. If God has given you friends, family and loved ones…cherish them….they are far more precious than material stuff that as Jesus said  rusts, moths eat and thieves steal…All of us have had someone on a deathbed or with a disease and would gladly bankrupt ourselves for their presence and well being.

I know this sounds macabre but maybe we need a good economic crash to humble us and get our attention

back on God and each other. So hug your loved ones, your mate, kids, a good friend and finally

thank God for what you do have and never take anyone or anything for granted…..Just a thought. My good friend Job had it right ” Naked came I out of the womb and naked shall I return…..BLESSED BE THE NAME OF THE LORD…… Look at these verses from the prophet Habbakkuk ………….

 16When I heard, my belly trembled; my lips quivered at the voice: rottenness entered into my bones, and I trembled in myself, that I might rest in the day of trouble: when he cometh up unto the people, he will invade them with his troops.

 17Although the fig tree shall not blossom, neither shall fruit be in the vines; the labour of the olive shall fail, and the fields shall yield no meat; the flock shall be cut off from the fold, and there shall be no herd in the stalls:

Heard the President’s speech last night- He seemed to be saying ” Man are we in a lot of trouble ” I said

like …”Whatever gave you that impression ? ” In the middle of the speech I muted the remote and went to the kitchen to eat some comfort food. I made some Rama Noodles/Noodles in a cup and ate some Ritz crackers. I said to myself. If the Depression is coming or here….at least I have Rama noodles….Hey ! Let’s

Praise and thank the Lord even for the Noodles….Give us this day, our daily noodles….Graceman stop blogging and go to sleep it’s 1:23 AM   Good Night Everyone….Eat some noodles and unmute your TV.

 

 

I have been receiving precious calls etc. from you and appreciate them so. We must stay close in heart and prayers in these tumultuous days. Received a tender call from Pastor Modica at 1St Assembly Deland to encourage Annita and myself re: dreams God has placed on our hearts. The Holy Spirit prompts people to write and call and pray. I pray my blog will encourage you to do as Winston Churchill said….Never, Never, Never Give Up. There is a God who loves you…..and we are to love one another. SPECIAL UPDATE – Be in prayer for the people/believers in Zimbabwe. A member of the team we will be traveling with just returned and there is a virtual meltdown in a country of 9 million. No running water in the city where missions friend stayed/food was scarce and fuel even scarcer. We of course are experiencing a meltdown economically in America. We must remain focused on God our resource/provider in these times. Remember in Hebrews it speaks of everything being shaken so that which cannot be shaken ( Eternal/Spiritual things ) can remain.. Just some thoughts Be bold, strong, courageous…for the Lord thy God is with thee… Love you, Graceman

 

Welcome to the BLOG site ( B.iblical L.ogos O.f G.raceman. ) Sorry that the Blog has not been updated for a while. With the move and reconnecting of internet service etc. I have not been able to regularly blog. For some of our dear friends that received our newsletter/life update this will be a means of keeping updated. I will be posting pictures, Bible Study notes and as my high tech son-in-law/Roy helps me i’ll get video for you to view. This coming week I will be ministering at my dad’s church in Baltimore, Md.

Pray for my parents as they travel to minister at Pastor Jerry’s church in Memphis this week.

 Lord willing I will be in Cameroon, Africa in late October through the first part of November as our letter indicated. As we also shared with you ( not to be redundant ) I will be teaching the book of Ephesians at a seminary and the classic teaching of the Lord’s Prayer. Also this Africa trip will be the launch of a dream of my heart that will be called  “The Jesus Project “. ( Not to be confused with the wonderful ” Jesus Film Project ” ). The group that I will be traveling with to Cameroon is not called ” The Jesus Project” .

 This will be my first venture of Faith in a new ministry birthed in my heart. As you pray, support and get involved in your own sphere of influence….Loving, Helping and telling others of God’s Great Love you will

in fact be a part of the “Jesus Project” and he will reward what you do unto the “least of these” as you have done it unto Him.

     We found a great fellowship called Heritage Fellowship. The Pastor’s name is Paul and he is a good teacher of the Word and he and his wife love the Lord. Between my “Indian Jones Evangelical Expeditions”

I will seek to be an Armour Bearer ( I Sam. 14 ) for him and wherever I minister. Please lift up and encourage all who serve the Lord in these days of extreme apostasy. I will be helping them with Outreach and Discipleship . Our three objectives as believers are Exalting the Lord through Worship, Evangelizing the Lost and Edifying/Building up the believers. My next BLOG will begin a study of Ephesians and I will also have commentaries regarding current events ( In light of Scripture ) or simply to encourage and inform you.

I will also add some links to funny stuff and pics etc. of interest. If you find any cool stuff E-mail it to me.

Lord knows we have had enough of the “deification of man instead of the glorification of God ” I just think we as believers are part of the solution to all the pain, poverty, injustice and abuses going on in this world.  We could feed the world with what we send to the dump each day and clothe the world with the excess in our closets and garages. Dear Fellow Spiritual Warrior, 

I just felt burdened to write a personal note to all who read these musings. Many people that we love and know are experiencing difficult times in their lives. I mean not just economic stuff. It seems in these last days that the pressures of life are intensifying . Jesus said in Matt. 24 that the “labor pains” would increase and intensify before the coming of the Lord. The pressures of this complex system we now live in are unbelievable. We all seem to long for a simpler life but are trapped on a high speed merry-go-round at an out of control circus. From Wall Street to your Street it’s going bananas. Here are a few suggestions to keep from going crazy ( or crazier )…

Be thankful for your Position in Christ and the Hope that we have in him that there will be a better place for all of us soon.. and best of all we will one day be with him. (Jesus)

 We will hang up our “Spiritual Sword” and enter into the Marriage Supper of the Lord. The battle will be over. The Word says God shall wipe away all tears from our eyes. I know a lot of friends, family and loved ones are presently hurting. Put your faith in Christ and soon  ” And very soon we are goin to see the King…..Hallelujah, Hallelujah..we are going to see the King. ” The Warriors will sit at the massive Dining Table of the Lamb and

Sing ” All Hail King Jesus ”

Until Jesus comes in these crisis times God has called us to be Spiritual Paramedics helping those that are being injured in life. One of our dear brothers (LK) is working  with those returning from war that have been injured. People everywhere are being wounded by the Spiritual Warfare of life and we need to love, pray for and minister to them. These are not days to be self centered and self focused but rather to love and serve the suffering. Sometimes we must suffer like Jesus so we can become compassionate ministers of His love.

Many of you are experiencing deep emotional soul pain and mental stress. The Word says near the end “men’s hearts will fail them for fear “. Stay in the Word…Keep reading the Psalms for encouragement. Re-read all my lessons ( HIS lessons….Lord’s material ) on Prayer and let’s Pray for One another OK ? and Forgive one another and Love One another and in these  Last Days form bonds that cannot be broken or shaken. Tell each other things like “I Love You , I Appreciate You, You can count on me, I am praying for you. If you are being phony, plastic, have a political agenda etc. cut it out, no one needs it and like an embarassing situation, everyone but you can see through it. Beloved, let us love one another for love is of GOD………Be encouraged in the Lord. Know that he/God loves you so much and has an eternal place of Blessing for all of us who BELIEVE…We are , in my estimation in the final days and all the signs of the times recorded in places like Matt.24, II Thess.2, II Timothy.. are accellerating in number and intensity. Read the previous teaching on  THY KINGDOM COME……the Last King to Rule is Jesus ( How cool is that ? ) and the Last Kingdom left belongs to Him. Those of us who have been born from above ( John 3 ) will see the Kingdom of God.

Dear Lord,

     Tonight I pray for your Presence to be upon all my family ( natural and spiritual )

I pray that you will Protect them from all evil, Provide for them in all lack, Purify them in times of sin, Bring Peace to their Troubled minds and souls, Be the Physician for all their pain and disease, and Prosper them not just for their sake but for yours for they are your children and a reflection of you….. Give them sweet sleep tonight and may your angels protect them this night. OH God, protect our military people , and God please take care of all the poor, weak and defenseless and especially all the little ones in these dangerous days. In Jesus Name and through the Blood of His eternal covenant we Pray and set our lips to Praise You like Paul and Silas no matter what….. Even So, Come Lord Jesus……..AMEN

Thy Kingdom Come – Jesus said to Nicodemus in John 3 ( Born Again Chapter ) ” Except a man is Born Again ( from above ) he cannot see the Kingdom of God….

There are several aspects of the Kingdom of God

a. Present Aspect – When one receives Jesus as Lord and Savior he or she is translated from the Kingdom of Darkness into the Kingdom of Light/God’s Dear Son ( Col. 1:13-14 )

Jesus is our King and we are His  Royal Subjects ( How cool is that ? ) We are to seek first the Kingdom ( Matt.6:33 ) This means to live under the Kingship/Lordship of Jesus Christ and live for His interests. He is to be the PASSION and PRIORITY of our lives.

It is an Invisible Kingdom and also an Invincible ( Indestructible ) Kingdom.

There is also the Future Aspect of the Kingdom which is UNSHAKEABLE . It will be the only Kingdom left after all other Kingdoms and Governments fall and fail. In Daniel 2  King Nebuchadnezzar has the dream of all the Kingdoms of this world ( In Daniel 2 B ) and then a Stone carved without hands comes and smashes all other kingdoms and the Stone becomes a mountain and the Glory of the Lord covers the earth in the end.

THY KINGDOM COME – We pray daily that GOD’S AGENDA ADVANCES….This means that there will be things in our lives that may or may not make sense but we are needed to accomplish the KING’S AGENDA . We are engaged in MAJOR SPIRITUAL WARFARE

on a daily basis. It is Soooooo important to immerse oneself in Prayer as you never know what you  will face. Satan will assault Mind, Body, Family, Finances, Ministry etc. Stand strong my brothers and sisters and DECLARE DAILY YOUR Passion and Priority.

Lord, I want you to REIGN in the follwing Four Areas…..

1. Reign in my HEART

2. Reign in my HOME ( Pray over each member of the family….. ) Ask the Lord to reign  in the hearts of the rebellious ones ( Prophetic Prayer….Believing in advance by Faith that God will change hearts….

3. Reign in Houses of Worship ( God’s House/ Christ’s Church ( Locally and Globally )

4. Reign in Harvest Fields of this World……Nations

Names are cool….We address those we love by names, nicknames, pet names, titles and all are meant to show some emotion or affection. Annita has 30 ways to say my name. Some I like and some I…let’s get on with the teaching…..

OUR FATHER – Loving and Getting to know our Abba Father – PARENT/POSITION

WHICH ART IN HEAVEN – Preeminence, Surrendering Daily to His Sovereignty.

I love my POSITION as a child of God…..I do not always love the PROCESS I am going through….. ( Amen from All of US ! )

All Great people go through Great TIMES of Process ( Purifying …if you will / Pruning and Purging – John Ch. 15 Vine and Branches…. ) Cutting back unnecessary branches and foliage and forcing the plant to pull from deep within to produce fruit/flora etc. My favorite plant in S. Fla. was the Bouganvilia…..It had the prettiest purple/red/pink flowers. It grew best with little water as it’s constituency caused it to bloom in the desert…whole nother lesson there eh? Not a bloomin onion…stop thinking about food.

Learning to submit to the Potter’s Hand is difficult but so vital. ” The Clay cannot say to he Potter “Why have you made me thus or Why Me Lord ? Really great prople have suffered more than you and  ever will….. The J’s  – Joseph/Jonathan ( David’s Great Friend /Jabez/Job / John Beloved – exiled to Patmos / James ( beheaded ( Acts 12 )  Best of all Our Beautiful JESUS….. I mean if he went through a Gethesemene / Golgotha and a Grave experience ….who am I to say ” I’d like the Calvary Road….. Comfy Lane or Cruise Ship and Not Battle Ship. ” ?

Jesus suffered and he was innocent and perfect….Much of our suffering ( at least mine ) is

Self Induced and Imposed……. ( Remember I always say this…..If my kids say that their dad is Wise….how did you become Wise… ? I tell them I did a lot of stupid things. If my stupidity has hurt or affected anyone reading this. I do ask your forgiveness….. 

Today’s Lesson – Hallowed Be Thy Name – THE PERSON/PRESENCE/ POWER AND PROVISION OF GOD…..

HIS NAME -  ( Be sure to look back at previous lessons as I do have a rhyme to help you remember God’s Names ( Not many Gods …One God , like a diamond many facets…..Ever notice jewelers show diamonds against a black background…under Great lighting so you see the beauty of the gem. I have discovered …How Beautiful God is against the backdrop of my blackest night. The other night I was thinking how God preserved my daughter and her son and my wife from death in a two year period. Nothing too hard for my God. If you lost someone you love through death it doesn’t mean God does not love you or has not heard your prayer. I lost my Jonathan/ only brother and how all of us loved this funny man and love of our lives. I ” lost” him to Jesus….I mean, I teach my kids to share their friends and if I have to share him……I trust him with my JESUS…….My very best friend…..I love the new Worship Song that I sing to myself nightly  my ” Lullaby”

I believe your my Healer, I believe you’re my Portion, I believe You are all I need, Jesus, you’re all I need.. Sometimes My Faith is weak and I need to remember in my STORMS…that HE IS IN MY SHIP/BOAT….If he’s asleep that means he ain’t ( I know not good English….) worried then neither should I be. PS: The Glorified Jesus never Sleeps or slumbers.

If he’s worried that’s when I will panic…Hasn’t happened yet. Not me panicking ( that happens…internally ) I mean I have not seen Jesus panicking nor will I. Sometimes I think/pray ” JESUS, WILL YOU PLEASE STAND UP AND CALM THIS STORM…..”

Jehovah  Jireh – His Provision Shall Be Seen….. ( Also Alpha and Omega ) PROVIDER

Jehovah Rapha – PHYSICIAN

Jehovah Rohi -POWERFUL SHEPHERD

Jehovah Shammah – PRESENT ONE ( PRESENCE )  Manifest Presence

Jehovah Shalom - PEACE ( My Peace Giver, My PRINCE OF PEACE….)

Jehovah Tsidkenu/ Jehovah M’kaddesh – PURIFIER ( He is our Refiner’s Fire )

Names for the HOLY SPIRIT – Comforter ( PARAKLETOS Gk. One Called alongside to HELP )  Isa. 11:1- read the seven fold character of the Holy Spirit )

When I studied and taught Revelation ( ie: Book of ) my favorite verse ( among 22 chapters of good material )  Rev. 1:10 ” I WAS IN THE SPIRIT ON THE LORD’S DAY”

How Did John the Beloved ( Let’s add him TO OUR J- LIST OF SUFFERING SOULS )

endure Patmos/exile/suffering ( Rev. 1:9-10 ) ? He remained ” In the Spirit ”

I cannot control my circumstances ( like driving on a sheet of ICE ) I can maintain my focus of Faith……

So when you get to this part of the Prayer…..Hallowed Be THY Name

Take each of your daily needs and apply God’s Name and Character and Person to them

                                           Let Me Illustrate

Lord, My body is in pain…I recognize you as Jehovah Rapha…..Please heal me.

I am in financial difficulty…You are my Jehovah Jireh, My Provider

I am in need of purity – Lord, you are Jehovah M’kaddesh/ Jehovah Tsidkeu / My Purifier

I think you get the message…..Now review and get your prayer notebook goin…Stop

Dear Beloved Ones ( Sounds spirtually mushy….cause it is meant to be….John 13:34-35

“By this shall all men know that you are my disciples if you love one another…..”with Agape, self sacrificing love )

At our church we have been studying the first chapter of Daniel. It has been a great study. I jumped ahead and have been reading about the end times in chapters 9 – 12. I have never been so convinced that we are really  in the Last Days as I am now. I have scripture and as of late the witness of the Holy Spirit. This witness has all of the true believing remnant on high spiritual alert. I mourn and grieve into the night and often during the day. I am a person given to a light and joyous spirit and pretty much unmoved by my personal traumas. This is different. It’s not gloom and doom it is how God communicates with His believers. If you read Daniel 9 and 10 you will see what happens when God reveals to Daniel the Vision/ Revelation of the Latter Days. Now we are actually living near to the times that Daniel saw and made him heart sick and mourn and grieve. No wonder we are all feeling this way if we are in tune with the Holy Spirit. I claim no prophetic gifts. I simply read the prophecies and know that when I do it’s like reading tomorrow’s news today. The key to walking strong is to remain in a Prayerful state almost continuously.

Daniel would receive Revelation and then he would fast, mourn and pray. God answered in the following manner:

a. God hears our prayers and sees our hearts in contrition toward Him

b. God sends angels ( ministers of fire …Heb.1 ) who are  ministers, messengers and mighty ones ) to our aid ( They fight demonic entities that come after us ..See Dan. 9-10) ( Do a study on angels …cool study )

c. God strengthens us ( As he did to Daniel ) Often I awaken with fears and feelings of frustration and failure…..I then PRAY and soon thereafter the “effects” of Prayer “kick”

in and I sense the Peace of God, Presence and Power of God…..changing my fears and feelings of inadequacy to Fiery Fire Forged Faith so that I can be the WARRIOR

( spiritually speaking ) that God called all of us to be ( Eph. 6:10-19 )

D. Sometimes God sends “regular” angels and in Daniel’s case sent the Arch Angel…How cool is that ?

E. In Daniel 10 the Lord himself even shows up…..He did to Hagar, Joshua before Jericho…Josh.5, Daniel 10 to Daniel, Exod. 3 to Moses, Rev. 1 to John the beloved on Patmos…and stood for Stephen as he was being stoned Acts 6-7.

If we will Pray, Fast and Walk in the Spirit we will live in the real of the Supernatural and the Miraculous. I do not now aboutyou but I need to walk in that realm or I am in real trouble……..I want you to walk in that realm…the FAITH Zone….

( If I am to be shaken let God do the shaking…..Heb. 12:26-27  The Lord said he would shake everyone and everything so that which CANNOT BE SHAKEN… ( THE KING  ie: JESUS and His Kingdom People ) will remain….After all the world and governments are shaken there will be one kingdom left…..THE UNSHAKEABLE KINGDOM…..THE GLORY OF WHICH WILL FILL THE EARTH…Daniel 2:b

In Satan’s Amusement park his favorite ride to get you on is the “Tunnel of Condemnation” Do not get on it. It is dark and scary and depressing… When he says

 ” Step Right UP”…..Step right down and …..Get on JESUS High Wire….Romans 8:1…..NO CONDEMNATION RIDE……It is so Freeing….Conviction is of the Spirit…..Condemnation is not……Even from Self, Satan or Others…… I DON’T DO CONDEMNATION…….Satan’s Oldest Dance…..I don’t Dance with the Devil.

The other day I read almost an entire Newspaper and every single article depressed me more and more….I tossed the paper and said to myself ” I Walk by FAITH and not by sight…..I walk in Light and not the Night. That same night I opened my Bible and read and read until I felt the Ahhhhhhh of God’s Presence and my Faith was fed and fueled….Faith

Today you may be weeping…JOY comes in the mourning….

Today you may be broke…..God may Command a Blessing ( Deut.28) tomorrow ( Josh. 3 Sanctify yourself today for the Lord will do wonders among you…. )

Today you may be lonely and tomorrow like he did for Elijah … Elisha may show up….

Today you may be surrounded by the enemy like Judah and Jehoshaphat in II Chron. 21

but tomorrow……God may send an army of angels o win the battle for you……THE BATTLE BELONG TO THE LORD……

Today you may be sick and in pain and tomorrow God may heal your body….

I have a perfect Saviour and that’s all we need…..I’d rather have JESUS….

Dear Fellow Believers – Forgive me for not writing these lessons sooner. Internet was down and had some problems with unwanted “spammers”.

Keep reviewing the previous prayer lessons and get ready for this  core teaching of prayer taught by Jesus, Our Master.  Look up all of the times that Jesus teaches his disciples to pray in the gospels. I will be using Matt. 6:9-13

First of all it is the Pattern for Prayer and not necessarily a prayer in and of itself. ie: Our Father which art in heaven…… Jesus says “After this manner” – Pattern.  

Here is the outline that I have used for years… Again, I claim no originality…..Jesus is the teacher. We are  his students/disciples.

As you pray use this pattern in your mind and slowly and thoughtfully pray and enjoy time in the presence of God. Pray in FAITH, believing that this Discipline/Delight will have a dramatic and dynamic effect as you pray. Do we ever need prayer ? Yes and Amen as we are living in a post prosperity era and in for some times where we will need the Sovereign Supernatural Intervention of God in our lives on a regular basis.

For this teaching just famliarize yourself  with the PATTERN

Our Father – Spend time getting close to God as your PARENT, He loves you so much and his heart is toward you 24/7. Maybe your earthly parents abandoned you , forsook you or even abused you. NOW, you have a Heavenly Father who according to Ephesians 1 ….LOVES and ACCEPTS YOU. You are accepted in the Beloved. Ever heard the song “How sweet it is to be loved by YOU ?….”

Spend time telling God you love him and appreciate all he has done for you and especially

for your POSITION as his child. ( When I think of all the difficulties in my life, most are the effects of my material world….When someone asks me about my “net worth” I do not talk about my minimal assets. I talk about my ( BLESSINGS IN THE HEAVENLIES …again Eph. 1) and the things that are PRICELESS TO ME ARE THINGS LIKE.. MY POSITION IN CHRIST, THE PRESENCE OF GOD, THE PEOPLE IN MY LIFE THAT I LOVE AND WHO LOVE ME…….PRICELESS.

On your deathbed your money or assets are worthless. Your loved ones are PRICELESS.

So simply…..Pray – Dear Loving Father ( Rom.8:15 Abba Father….Daddy/Father )

then just pour out your heart to HIM….Turn off Cell phones/distractions etc.

Our Father – POSITION/PARENT ( Paternity )

Which Art In Heaven – PREEMINENCE  ( Humbly submit yourself to HIS Sovereignty.

( Read the Books of Daniel and Job and you will get a feel of God’s Sovereignty….It isn’t all about you…It’s all about HIM… ( Jer. 18 HE IS THE POTTER AND YOU ARE THE CLAY ) You cannot twist God’s arm to do your will. Read the last three chapters of Job

where God illustrates His Power by telling JOB that like the massive dinosaurs God cannot be controlled or manipulated….. Unless you understand and submit yourself humbly to the Sovereignty of God. You will be frustrated at the twists and turns of your life. LIFE IS UNFAIR…GOD IS NOT…. ( Joseph ( Book of Genesis B ) was thrown in a pit by his family, lied about by Potiphar’s wife, thrown in Prison and went through some ”STUFF”……

and did not become bitter and like JOB ended up prosperous and it is said that the last half of both of their lives were better than the first. I am believing God for that for my life as well. ( And yours cause I love ya……) So acknowledge and submit to God’s Sovereignty…Remember the old serenity Prayer…..Help me to accept the things I cannot change…..

THAT’S WHAT HAPPENS WHEN YOU PRAY…

The prayer teachings that I will present to you are not “my original” material. The outlines and poems and annotations are but the principles are merely extracted from the wonderful scriptures. The Jabez prayer was brought to the attention to the masses by Bruce Wilkinson, known for Walking through the Bible seminars and a book on Jabez prayer. Purchase and read the book.

Pain is a necessary part of the landscape of life. It is a part of that ” All things work together for good ” If we had no pain we would not know where we need healing ( albeit physical, emotional or spiritual ). In Philip Yancy’s book ” Fearfully and Wonderfully Made” he uses the analogy of leprosy and the danger of not feeling pain . If you place your hand near a fire you do not feel it and know to pull it out of the flame.

Jesus himself encountered pain and was known as “man of sorrows”. He walked in the joy of the Father but experienced a lot of personal pain so he could be touched with the feelings of our infirmities….

For the teaching on JABEZ Prayer go to I Chronicles 4:1, 9-10

4:1 – Jabez comes from the tribe of JUDAH – PRAISE ( Destined for Praise )

God’s Plan for us is to become a people of Praise ( Read Eph.1…to become to the Praise of the glory of his grace )

4:9 ” Now Jabez was more honorable than his brothers and his mother called him Jabez ( meaning to cause pain )” because she bore him in pain.

( Imagine being labeled “PAIN” – read next BLOG “  Ode to Jabez )

Destined for Praise…Present Position Pain…sound like our lives ?

4:10a  Counter Pain with Prayer and Praise ( As Paul and Silas did in prison – Acts ch.16 )  I love when my wife fills the home with CD’s and DVD’s of Live Praise and Worship…..

” And Jabez called upon the God of Israel……. ” – PRAYER

Often people criticize the content of Jabez prayer and do not take into consideration this part of the verse where I am confident that Jabez began his “Bless Me” prayer with times of “ I BLESS YOU, LORD “

So as you pray always take time to “BLESS THE LORD” FIRST

Here are the other four principles of  of the Jabez Prayer for you and I to pray daily…

#1 / Vs. 10b – O, that you would bless me indeed – Pray for Prosperity ( God Blessed Abraham ( Gen.12 ) so that Abraham would be a BLESSING.

#2/ Vs.10c ” And enlarge my territory – Increase my boundaries ( Livin Large for the Lord…out of the Bless me mode…..reach out to others ) Broaden my Boundaries, Lord….. Pray over your Possibilities/Potential ( Read Joshua 1 )

#3/ Vs.10d ” And that your hand would be upon me…( Nehemiah prayed for this as well )  Pray that God takes your natural efforts and gifts and applies His Supernatural touch to what you seek to accomplish so we can do more than we ask or think….

#4/ Vs.10e “Keep me from evil that I may not cause pain”  How many times does our sin and situations we get into cause pain to others ? ( too many )

Here is where we pray for Protection for ourselves and for others….

WHEN WE PRAY THIS WAY IN FAITH BELIEVING THERE WILL BE RESULTS…..PRAYERS ANSWERED/ PROVISION COMES AND PRESENCE AND PEACE OF GOD PREVAILS…..
